The increase in energy consumption has accelerated the depletion of oil reserves on earth and resulted in the combustion exhaust of fossil fuels, environmental pollution and the greenhouse effect. Currently, concerns about such problems around the world are significantly spurring the technological efforts of renewable and green energy. Among all types of renewable energy, solar energy has significant advantages and potential for electricity generation. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) are semiconductor photovoltaic devices that convert sunlight directly into electric current. It is planned to develop and fabricate new dye sensitizers in order to provide higher energy conversion of these devices.
